We have taken in three homeless cats. One is 15 yrs, one is a year old, and one is probably 8-10 weeks. We really cannot afford to take them all to the vet. Can we give all the needed vaccines at home? If so, what do you reccomend? Thank you.
By law a rabies vaccine has to be given by a vet. You may have taken in more than you can handle. Don't forget that animals get sick and someone has to pay for their care. If the cats are indoors only then I recommend a FVRCP and Rabies vaccine. If they go outdoors then you have to think about FELV, FIV and FIP vaccine. All animls should have a check- up once a year by a vet. I also recommend felv and fiv tests on the cats. vetcare
