My 5 yr. old dog Lucy's gums have been bleeding when she is chewing on her bones or a ball. It does not seem to take much time for the bleeding to begin. This is a recent occurance. We brush her teeth as often as she'll let us ( about 2-4x a month). Also, her breath has been worse than normal. Should we brush her teeth more often or do you think this is evidence of a larger problem? Thanks for the input.
You should have her teeth checked by the vet. She may have gum dz and may need a professional cleaning?? vetcare
