I have an eight month old kitten that was vomitting and lethargic. I took him to the vet and she prescribed metroniidazole (250 Mg). My cat took the medication fine the first time but the second time he was upset by it. This morning when I tried to give it to him he would not take it and fought me, of course this caused the pill to foam. How should I be administering this medication since the way the vet informed me to did not work (pushing it down his throat...he will bite me if I do this). Also he is still not eating and just lays down. Should I be forcing him to eat something? The vet took blood tests which will be back tomorrow. Thank you.
You can buy a pill gun at your local pet store. This will help. If there is no improvment in your pets medical condition then you have to talk to your vet about this. vetcare
