I just purchased a puppy, a Austrailian Cattle dog. He has a veracious hunger to chew anything. I do realize that puppies chew, however, I would like to know if there is a way to stop him from chewing my ankles and everything that is tacked down. He likes the furniture more than chew toys or leather or pig ears. thanks Danny
Make sure he gets plenty of exercise. Rotate his toys every day. Buy him a new toy every week. This will help keep him interested in the chew toys. Try giving him ice cubes through the day. If he is under 6 mo then I recommend that you keep him confined. He should not have free access to the entire house. Try Kong toys. They have little holes in them that a treat fits into. This will help keep him interested. Start teaching comands such as no, sit and stay and be strict about him following orders. vetcare
