My cat has been suffering from soft stools and nausea. The vet recommened a hypoallergenic diet, which the cat has been on for the past 6 months. The problem seems to be coming back. There are no plants or anything else new in his environment. Could he be allergic to catnip? After vomitting clear liquid and having the soft stool, he is somewhat lethargic for a few hours, but then is fine. He is still eating and drinking normally, as far as I can tell. Any suggestions? He has seen the vet for this problem, and we changed the food, what would be the next thing to try, and could it be the catnip?
Next would be some blood tests. There may not be an easy cure. Your pet may need a work-up at the vet for answers. vetcare
