My dog, a mix breed of
has what appears to be seizures. She is almost 11 years old, in our years, which would be almost 77 dog years, right? Anyway, she can't walk, mainly with her rear legs, her spine tenses, she shakes, and lets out tears. These seizures last for about 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes she'll have two seizures in a row.
A vet diagnosed her with heart worms about two years ago, but the vet said it wasn't worth treating her because, she wouldn't last more than 2 years. So far she's pretty healthy.
What do you recommend.
I recommend that you see another vet so a diagnosis can be made. dogs usually do not live long with heartworm dz and the problems you are currently seeing may be associated with it. I am not convinced this is a seizure. A vet should examine her. Good luck, vetcare
