i have two cats, and they seem to be losing weight but they are always hungry.i took them to the vet andthey had no answer for me except to put them on i vs to do test, but i won't leave them for 2 days which is what they want me to do. what could be wrong? i just want some theory about what is wrong. my third cat does not have the problem. the two are mother and daughter.i read a pamplet about thyroid, could that be a possibility?
Yes an overactive thyroid is possible. I recommend a blood test to help determine the cause of weight loss. I also recommend a good exam- are the teeth in good condition? etc.. Have you changed the food recently? Change in diet may also cause weight loss. vetcare
