We just adopted our dog and at her first vet appt she was placed on Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus. We have some concerns using the liquid flea treatment with a young son and baby on the way. We were told we are free to choice any medication and were given brochures for most of the major brands. The Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus seem like the most effective. Are there any alternatives that are just as, if not more effective at covering the whole spectrum of worms and parasites, fleas, etc. in a non-liquid form? Should we be concerned with the liquid?
Thank you very much for your time :)
I would not allow the baby to touch the dog for the first 24 hrs after administering the product on the skin, otherwise it is ok. Sentinal kills heartworm, fleas, intestinal parasites and it is a pill. Sentinal does not kill ticks. No pill at this time kills ticks. vetcare
