I have an indoor cat that is six and a half months of age. I am preparing to take her in for her first vaccinations however am being told conflicting information and have now found myself confused. I have been told that 1. because she is past the ‘kitten’ stage she can take her vaccinations as a one shot deal this is because when the kitten is small the dose is broken into several parts because of the size of the small animal therefore creating more office visits and boosters. And I have been told 2. Because the cat is older she only needs the vaccinations in 2 parts rather than the 3 or 4 parts it takes when kittens begin receiving vaccines at 8 weeks old.
Can you please clear this issue up for me?
Thank you so much!!!
She will probably needs 2 sets of vaccinations if she has never been vaccinated before. vetcare
