I have a two year old all white cat at home with me. I am not sure what type of cat he is exactly, but anyway, my sister brought him home in 8/99 as a kitten. She got him his first series of shots and he never recieved any since then, no booster shots no nothing. I moved in here a year ago..that's why no shots! Ok..to the point. For the last month or so, Sable(my cat) has been sneezing and sometimes green mucous comes out of his nose. I wanted to know two things. Will he need to start his shots all over again..as in first series again..and so on, and is it possible for him to have a basic cold and recieve simple treatment at home, or will he need some sort of anitbiotic. He stays outside most of the time..by his own choice, but I try to keep him in the house as much as possible..especially with the cold weather. He also appears to be heaving sometimes. I'm pretty sure it's hair, since he hardly lets me bathe him, or do you think maybe he's actually coughing from his cold?
Your cat needs to see a veterinarian. yes this could be a "cold" but it sounds like it needs to be treated with antibiotics. I also recommend a feline leukemia and feline aids test. Cats should recieve vaccines yearly but not when they are sick. Good luck, vetcare
