I have 2 female, spayed, 6 yr. old border collies. One of them is very dominant while the other is extremely passive. The dominant dog has started attacking the passive dog. The passive dog does not fight back and rolls over on her back. The dominant dog bites the other dog in the anal area and draws blood. Any suggestions on how I can stop this behavior?
First, I would spay your pets. If your pets are already spayed that is great. I recommend that you pay more attention to the dominant dog. Feed her first, give her treats and always allow her in and out of the house first. If she is treated like the dominant dog then she won't feel she has to establish her dominance. If this does not work then I recommend that you see an animal behavior specialist. Good luck, vetcare
