My cat (approx 5 mo old) has had blood in her stool off and on for a couple months. I've taken her to the vet several times and the vet, after many weeks of giving different medications, finally decided it was an allergy. Now she wants to run another blood test to see what exactly the cat's allergic to so I'll know what kind of food to buy.
Question is this: I've already spent over $500 on vet bills in the last two months for a variety of tests and am not thrilled about another test that'll cost $120 (plus vet visit fee & stool test) if I don't have to. What if I just try buying different types of food on my own and keep an eye on her stool myself?
She is your cat, sure you can try this. vetcare
