my puppy is almost 8 months old she is a husky rottie mix. she seems to suffer from seperation anxiety she is very disdructive when left alone for even just 5 minutes. she is escaping from her crate by chewing on the metal bars & bending them back with her teeth. she bends them open as far as she can & squeezes her way through the tiny opening. my husband & i are at our wits end she has demolished walls chewed up rugs etc. is there anything we can try that i haven't already tried? we have left lights & radios on, we have tried not to make a big deal about being back when we get home.everything that is in the books
She needs more exercise. Try giving her a treat that takes her time to eat ( about 20 min) right before you leave. This will help distract her for the first 20 min when she is most likely to do most damage. vetcare Try placing a treat in a Kong toy.
