Our 10 month old male cat was in heat and was marking his teritory in the house so we just had him spaded a 3 days ago, hoping he would stop.
Unfortunatly he is still urinating in the house. This is a now a big problem and my husband is considering putting the cat to sleep.
Is he still marking his territory? If so how do we make him stop? Is there a solution? I don't want to kill him.
p.s. this is a cat that goes outside often and we have a female in the house that just had his kittens.
It takes about 1 month for the sex hormones to leave the body so be patient. I would provide another litter box so the cat has more choices. The cat is acting territorial which is normal behavior for a cat especially with another cat and kittens in the house. Try feliway, it helps relieve stress. vetcare
