I recently took my dog to the Vet because she was limping on her left back leg. The Vet x-rayed her leg and suspects that she may have a complete torn on her knee, but couldn't see it in the x-ray. She did see fluid build up where fat should be. She also moved her leg to see if she had a drawer effect on her knee, she concluded that my dog did have some drawer effects on the knee. The Vet has recommended a very costly surgery that is what the Vet called exploratory. Would you recommend the surgery or is there another alternative (i.e. medication, rest, etc.)?
I recommend you go for a second opinion to an orthopedic surgeon. your vet can give you a referral. vetcare
