I would like to know your opinion on my dog´s case, He is a four year old American Eskimo
My dog was lost for abaut a week, after putting signs everywhere and asking everyone he just came home by himself and was waiting on th front stepd for someone to open the door for him.
when he came home he was really scared and was very dirty, he also had gas under his skin( I don´t know the exact term, but a direct translation from spanish would be subcutaneous emphysema)
I could feel the bubbles under the skin and the crackling sound when moved.
He has this everywere, including legs.
I took him to the vet and he said it was probably an infection from a small scratch he has on his shoulder and got while he was lost. The scratch isn´t red or itchy, and looks pretty dried.
The vet got him on metronidazole and espiromicin, and compresive bandaging for the more affected areas.
I would like to know your opinion on this, if the scratch could relly be the cause of the problem, and if it co
Your pet was proably hit buy a car or suffered some type of trauma, infection etc.. but who knows ( I guess only your pet will know). If it is getting better then I would not worry. If not, go for a second opinion. vetcare
