My elderly cat has fluid accumulating under his neck. My local vet has opened it up to drain, but after the incision healed the fluid quickly returned and is affecting his breathing. What appears to be cerrous (spelling?)fluid was analyzed and tested negative for tumor cells. The vet thinks it is a cyst of some type but cannot tell for certain. Antibiotics have been administered to no prevail. He has no suggestions. The cat will either suffocate or the swollen area will burst. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Can your vet surgically excise the mass that is causing the fluid build up?? vetcare
