My cat has every toy and scratching device available she still scratches the furniture, even with the spray available. She is strictly an indoor cat, I don't want to declaw her in case she should get out.
What does a tendonectomy involve and is it cheaper than declawing?
This is when the veterinarian cuts the tendon connecting to the nail. This stops scratching, etc.. I have never performed this surgery and do not know many vets who do this. You would have to talk to your vet about the price for theis surgery.I declaw cats and I find that this makes them better pets and also cuts down on the amount of abandoned cats. Good luck, vetcare
