I have a 19 year old cat. She is very healthy except she is becoming senile. Her behavior is worse at night; the middle of the night. She roams the house screaming on the top of her lungs. I get up several times every night to give her a snack, warm her up, take her to the litterbox; whatever it takes. It's just getting worse. My vet agrees with me that Muffin is too healthy to be put down (other than the screaming). Anyway, I was told that there is a medication to treat senility in dogs but no one seems to know if there is one for cats. If there is, do you know of one? My cat is on tapazole because of hyperthyroidism. So I need to know if there are any drug interactions I need to know about. Thanks and I can't wait to having a nice, undisturbed night of sleep.
There is no medication availabe for senility in cats. Sorry, vetcare
