To comment on vet's response to this item on Pg. 14, let me say you might not like to hear my SHAME ON YOU for belittling people who have not as much as you have yet have the innate compassion to take in a pet and treat it the best they can. Since when do pet owners have to 'qualify' monetarily to share their love and families with an animal? You might have to admit, the expenses of pet ownership have gone up incredibly, and I have been on both ends of the deal, that is, we have raised and sold livestock and I have also worked for others, and there are times our family had donated meat or services to a family who was temporarily, and not by their own choosing, in need of something and didn't have the funds to immediately pay for it. We stayed in business. We cut people slack and it didn't hurt us one bit. We took in strays and fed folks who needed a meal. We believed kids should have pets to learn kindness and love and responsibility. Well, the farm is gone now and I work for a l
