My 9-year-old neutered male cat was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. A local vet did blood & chemistry tests that were indicative of kidney disease. The cat has been drinking and urinating since we took him to the vet, but is not able to keep his food down. We've tried his favorite foods, but it all comes right back up. Is this a symptom of kidney disease, or should we be looking for something else? Can you provide general information about feline kidney disease? Thank you for any help you can provide.
Yes, vomiting is a clinical sign of kidney disease. Maybe your vet can give your cat a medication such as tagamet to help with the vomiting. Chronic kidney disease is a progressive disease which has a poor prognosis, sorry. vetcare
