My dwarf hamster is having a problem with his eye. It is closed & he will not open it on his own. He will let me open it and it is clear inside but the eye shuts as soon as you let go of it.
There is no discharge or crust around his eye. Please help, the vet wants $65 to look at him and I just can not afford that, but I also do not want to see him suffer.
It sounds like your hamster may have an eye infection and should be seen by a vet. Your pet may need antibiotics for the eyes. You can try warm compress on the eyes. Good luck, vetcare
