Dear Vet, I am sending you this letter in hopes that you may have another opinion in regarding my cat Nute. He's a male aprox 8 years old, he's had all his teeth removed, except his k-nine teeth. He's not able to eat without steroid shots and they only last aprox two-three weeks. When he first has his shot, he's fine, eats well, and is in good healthy spirits, but after the shot ware's off he begines to bleed in his mouth and loses his appitite. He's not gaining any weight, in fact he losing weight. Is there any other treatment or posible cure out there for this kind of prognosis? Sincerily, Hopeful.
talk to your vet about oral medication such as prednisone instead of the shot. Antibiotics may also help. Secondary treatments include immunosuppressive drugs. vetcare
