My kitty is 2 years old. She has always been sweet and social (and talkative), and a little bit overweight. She weighs around 13 pounds, and her vet says she isn't in dangerous territory yet. He suggested I add some Science Diet canned kitten food to her diet of Science Diet Light dry food to see if it will speed up her metabolism and help her lose weight. Her weight seems stable, but she also seems hungry all the time. Sometimes I think she whines for attention (I recently started spending more time away from home than I had been before), but she wakes me up every morning at 6am for food, no matter when we went to sleep. My roommate and I are starting to think she is acting strange. Is there anything I can do to keep her belly more full? Is this a sign of illness (nothing else seems wrong)? Is it maybe just a sign of lonliness/neediness? She's always been hungry, but it seems a bit worse now. Thanks!
I assume your pet is spayed???. Your pet may just want more food. I recommend that you follow the directions that your vet gave you regarding diet. vetcrae
