After taking my 12yr old cat to the vet, that was suffering from lack of appetite and losing weight dramatically, on 10/19/02, she was given vitamins, antibiotics, prenisode and lactulose only before an estimate testing fee totaling $601.00 was suggested.
My question is: If my veterinarian’s physical exam indicated that my cat had a lump in her stomach, which he said could be cancerous why wouldn’t he have given me something stronger than the above mentioned medicines?
He also mentioned that she was eating on her own while in his care, prompting me to retrieve her 10/22/02.
Up until the day of her passing, 11/16/02 at approximately 1:10am, I dispensed all the meds and force-fed her with baby food. Could stronger medication have saved her or should I be satisfied with the $601.00 placebos?
You have to talk to your vet about this. I can not answer for your vet. vetcare
