I have a Chow/Lab mix that had one liter (one pup) at 1yr old.. We kept the puppy and they were together all the time. My ex decided to get a cocker for my younger daughter. We ended up with 2 cockers and decided to breed them. The first liter the female cocker did not want to feed the pups. My chow/lab the mother of the one pup feed the puppies. We ended up giving up the cockers and sold the pups. I got divorced and now the Mother chow/lab and her baby..who is a female fight.. The baby wants to kill her mother.. I can't have them in the same room. Why is this?? They got along so well before. It creates a big problem.
This is probably territorial aggression. Chows are aggressive dogs by nature. Did you spay your pets? This may help. vetcare
