My 23 yr. old son was playing around with his girlfriends dog and this little 13 yr. old terrior type dog growled and tried to bite my son on his big toe. My son only had socks on and only felt a mild pressure on his toe. Upon investigation there were no bite marks or puncture wounds. From this incident, the dog supposedly sustained a fractured jaw. Is this possible? My son said that the family always mentioned that the dogs gums were rotting. I can't believe that the dog attemting to bite my son caused a fractured jaw. I think that if the dog has bad teeth and gums, that probably caused the jaw to be weakened and fracture. What do you think?
I have never seen a dog fracture his jaw from biting a person but anything is possible. Strange?? vetcare
