I have a jack russle that is allergic to fleas. Advantage doesn't work. Now she has a terrible hotspot all the way up her back. I have been putting sulfodene medication on her but she is not getting better. And I bath her with medicated shampoo. What should I do next??
If your pet has a hot spot from fleas first you need to get rid of the fleas. Try a combo of advantage and program. The hot spot is best treated with, prednisone(a steroid for the itch), keflex (an antibiotic), and an antibiotic spray. Good luck, Vetcarerx vet team
