We have two rabbits -- one a Dutch, 2 yrs, and one a Norwegian dwarf, 6 mo. Both females. The larger Dutch has once again become aggressive -- unusually aggressive. It has even bit me and broke through skin. It has always been a very affectionate rabbit. The second rabbit was brought into our home as a companion for the first. There was fighting at first and then it ended. Now the Dutch is showing aggressive behavior to the dwarf and even to us. Any suggestions? We are considering spaying the Dutch. Is it reasonable to think this aggression is hormonal? I wish there was a guarantee that this would work. I to spay her and then for her aggression to remain. Appreciate your advice/suggestions.
