I have a 5 yr. Siberian Husky since she was 1 yr she has gotten Vetolog injections every 2-3 months. Her symptoms are a hacking cough, choking up of mucas, uncontrollable sneezing and runny nose. I have never been given a answer to why this happens or what the Vetalog does to her only that it stops the symptoms for 2-3 months and that vetalog is a steroid.
I have to admit that this is strange. The vetalog is a steriod which is an anti inflammatory and can also be immunosuppressive. It is long lasting about 2 weeks. Your vet is probably using it as an anti inflammatory but I recommend that you just ask your vet about it. Thanks, vetcare
