We have feed this to our Siamese cats for years. We just lost our 2 little girls that were 19 1/2 years old. They have always been very healthy cats. Nutro Max is great. 3 New kittens and all on the kitten food. However I can't find large bags which is disappointing as we are going thru 6 lbs in 3-4 Weeks.

When we first rescued our cats they were about 4 and 6 months old. We weren't sure what food was best so we asked the vet and she suggested Nutro. Coming from a shelter they had a few health issues that needed to be addressed, but this food really helped them develop into healthy cats. Their coats filled in mcharge fuller and are thick and shiny. Now they are thriving cats and are eating the indoor adult nutro! Thank you nutro!

As she goes from 8-16 weeks, I am to feed her 1/3 cup per day? That's less than at 6 weeks. Also, how many times to I administer the 1/3 cup? The bag indicates per day! My cat would starve getting 1/3 a cup per day no?
I'm new at this so please any advice would help.

We have raised our kittens on Max Cat Dry Kitten food exclusively and they have grown up to be beautiful, healthy, playful actively curious cats. They always eat all of the food we put out, never turn away from it. They love this food and as pet owners we love it and recommend it.

As a certified veterinary technician, I know how important it is to feed pets high-quality food and Max Cat is one of the best. My cats love the taste, their coats are shiny, and they do not soil the litter pan as much as they would on other foods.
The only thing I would change about the kitten formula is the size of the pieces. Little ones have a hard time getting those large bits into their mouths. I foster abandoned kittens and feed them Fromme until they are old enough to eat the larger sized pieces of Nutro because I really don't have time to crush the Nutro in a sandwich bag with a mallet.

After getting my kitten back in May, I wanted to make sure we got a healthy food for him to eat. After reading online recommendations, I decided to go with this food (& the equivalent for our dog.) They both love it and we havent had any issues. We recently got a second kitten & he love the food as well & no issues thus far.

We have four kittens and one adult cat in our home. They LOOOOVE the kitten roasted chicken flavor food!! We used to keep the biggest bag we could buy of it on the kitchen counter, but when we are not home, the kittens will push the bag off the counter and spill it on the floor to eat it!! As a solution, we bought those cereal plastic containers and put the cat food in there, but my little brother recently mistook it for cereal and ATE IT! I think he liked it too! :P Our kittens (and brother) are growing strong from the real protein!! :D
On a side note, this brand is a little pricier but because it has more real protein, it fills them up quicker and they eat less of it to get full (which is a must have with five cats!!) Great addition to the wet food!

I have been breeding and showing Maine Coons for 22 years. I start my kittens on Max Cat Kitten and have never experienced digestive issues as they transition from mother's milk to dry food. They gain well, have bright eyes and great coats. All the kittens are sent to their new homes with a bag of Max Kitten and instructions to continue them on Nutro Max products for their lifetime for happy, healthy kittens and cats!

I've been a long time user of Nutro foods, but it had been a long time since I'd had any need for the kitten version until earlier this year when I fostered then adopted Bookay and Lilybear (sisters).
They love their crunchy food, and I've never seen such gorgeous gleaming coats. We also love the 'wet' kitten food as a daily treat! Thanks, Nutro.

my senior cat Cleo was on a reduced carb diet because of diabetes but got lymphoma a few years after her diabetes diagnosis. at many points she got extreme nausea and had food aversion because of the lymphoma. max kitten kept her going for over a year because mixing it with her low carb dried food got her to eat. cleo has passed on, but whenever my other pets aren't feeling well and are fussy about food I offer them max kitten as a special treat and it always gets them to eat (they're all on low carb diets because of cleo's experience). thank you so much for such a tasty meal.
(cleo was a maine coon, age 17, but somehow that breed doesn't appear in your list. i have 2 wegie cats, so i chose that breed instead. didn't see an "other" option as to breed)

My Five Furry Friends all love their Max Cat food --- along with the four furry ferals outside. Its like a feeding freenzie when I come home from work. They are all rubbing up against the tall food canister - worshiping it- meowing to me to get it open and feed them.
I know the food must be good for them because when I switched them over to it from Friskies - their fur got so silky and smooth. I mean it... before their fur was all dry and corse feeling. They also like the Nutro canned wet food.
I would recommend making the switch for your cat too.

When I got my kitten, Tank, i noticed that even though he had been given a clean bill of health by the vet he seemed to have an eating disorder. I didn't want to upset his stomach so I had continued feeding him what his former owner had fed him. However he would eat anything and everything he could get to. He ate so much and so fast that he'd make himself sick. I was getting tired of cleaning up after he ate and then immediately puked. I talked with my Aunt, a Nutro representative. She told me that most likely he wasn't getting enough nutrition which was why he'd continue eating until he threw up. She recommended MaxCat. Within a week Tank no longer acted starved and no longer gorged until sick. I will not be changing foods again.

WE RESCUED A 12 WEEK OLD KITTEN FROM A LOCAL AGENCY. THEY GAVE US SOME FOOD BUT WE HAVE ALWAYS FED OUR PETS NUTRO. SO WE BROUGHT HOME OUR NEW KITTY. HER NAME IS "HUNNY ANYA BISKIT" BECAUSE SHE IS SWEETER THAN HONEY ON A BISCUIT! (NOTE THE SPELLING). WE CALL HER HUNNY. WE USED THE FOOD SHE CAME WITH BUT THE BAG OF NUTRO WAS SITTING RIGHT THERE AND BEFORE WE COULD OPEN THE BAG SHE STARTED PURRRING AND LAYING ALL OVER THE BAG. WE KNEW THIS WAS THE RIGHT FOOD FOR HER. HUNNY IS NOW 6 MONTHS OLD AND TOTALLY ON NUTRO KITTEN. SHE LOVES HER FOOD AND PURRS WHEN IT IS MEAL TIME. HER COAT IS SO CLEAN AND SHINY AND SOFT! SHE HAS A LONG-HAIRED TAIL. WE NOTICE THAT SHE DOES NOT SHED! SHE IS SO CONTENT AND LOVING. HUNNY IS SO VERY SPECIAL AS SHE WAS A GIFT TO MY DAUGHTER FOR HER 21ST BIRTHDAY. MY DAUGHTER JUST LOVES HUNNY!

When I first got my two kittens, I was feeding them a kitten food that shall remain nameless. They seemed to love eating it, BUT Teton just kept making stinkers. She was so gassy, we didn't want her on our laps, or even in the room! The litter box was also a mess, runny huge waste from both kittens. After a few months I had enough, I went to my local pet store to talk to someone about different options for food that would still be in my price range. As we began to discuss Nutro Max, I found out that the main ingredient was meat (not a byproduct), it was also contained rice (not corn). These characteristics meant that it would improve the overall health of my kittens, lead to less waste in the litter box, and hopefully clear up Teton's (embarrassing and stinky) problem. I'm here today to tell you that it has been decidedly less stinky here at our house every since. My kittens love the food, have shiny coats, contribute less waste to the litter box, and most importantly Teton is not stinky anymore (at least not when we're around)!

I bought this food due to a recommendation from the nutro company sales person.
At first my cat loves it!
After a few months into it the cat refuses to eat as much as he should and kept begging for food even though the bowl is still full.
I don't buy big bags because I know very well my cat the he will not eat as much when the cat food reaches the bottom of the bag.
I guess my cat is just picky.
I was also hoping for non-grain food but Nutro doesn't provide non-grain cat food.

My Aby kitten, Gucci a.k.a. "The Gooch", cannot get enough of Nutro Max Cat Kitten formula. I attempted multiple wet and dry foods (upset tummy) and stumbled upon Nutro Max. The little guy is border line obsessed!! He has gained weight, remains beyond active, has healthy bowel movements and is receiving the proper nutrition to live a healthy life. We are both greatful to have come across this wonderful product.
In a few months, he will no longer be a "kitten" so we plan to move up to the CAT formula. We are both looking forward to it for sure. I would recommend this product to any cat owner.
