Warming not hot

Product arrived smushed, more of a triangle than oval and it hasn't really returned to an oval yet. The product states: put a pillow in it and 20 minutes later it will feel warm, which is true. It doesn't feel warm to the touch and won't cook your cats, that's for sure. My cat didn't naturally gravitate to it as a heat source but has come to sleep in it at night.
