this isn't an actual chunky wet food but a thick loaf. the picture on the front is misleading regarding texture. the food is still decent its just not what i wanted nor what it looks like on the front.

I started feeding my 19 year old kitty a combination of this moist food and Science Diet Age Defying dry food about 6 weeks ago, and I am amazed by the change that I see in her! I have fed my dogs Science Diet for many years, but had never used their car food. My baby had been losing weight and her coat just wasn't the same. She loves the food, and in just a short time, she has gained weight and her coat looks much better! She has more energy, too!! Thank you, Science Diet, for giving me some more time with my sweet Allie Cat!

Guar Gum was acceptable, however, Corn Starch can cause allergic reactions in cats. I wrote Hills a letter and they didn't address my specific concerns. They lost me as a customer.

One of the only flavors my senior cat likes next to the chicken tenders(chunks) and tuna. He hates the beef. which I try to limit because of heavy metals. I use the buy two and get one free coupon for his soft food, great deal He has no teeth. Unfortunately I can only use one coupon per visit so I have to visit daily. Why not just lower the price to accommodate this. I would buy in larger quantities rather than driving across town every day. But he is 9 and happy and healthy so I want to give 5. I give 4 for the inconvenience of driving everyday to feed him.

My Fussy Girl Loves This

Good product but expensive

I buy this for my mature cat because for her health the vet recommended it. It is more expensive than the other brands I used to buy and this effects my budget as I am retired and on SS.

My kitties rush to ther places when it is time to eat.

Two of my three Indore tabby cats; Ramon and Dexter love this. They receive 1 can each a day. I divide each can into morning, dinner and bedtime feeding. sometimes I add a little water to make it stretch for each feeding. I have confidence it is good for them since it was recommended by my vet from the time that I rescued them. Thank you for making a product I can trust. Theresa

High quality and my cats usually eat it.

I feel that this is a high quality wet food and my cats eat it quite willingly. It is expensive but sometimes I get a coupon and buy it on sale, which helps. My cats are finicky eaters, getting older and harder to please. They are gradually becoming slimmer and so I don't mind spending extra money to try and keep them healthy and sleek.

Only used Science Diet form Day 1

Our vet back in 1997 said to buy Science Diet and not the store brand stuff. Our cat is 15 years old and according to the vet looks like she is 7 or 8 years old. No problem with weight or her teeth. We cannot say enough good things about Science Diet and their products.

One happy, healthy cat

My 14 year old cat was quite puny, not eating much and losing weight. Since switching her to Science Diet senior food less than 3 weeks ago, she's gained back nearly a pound, her eyes are brighter, her coat is healthy again, she's much more playful and active--and eats like a little piglet. Very happy with the quality and benefits of Science Diet!
