  • special diet Turkey pate
Ziggy needs this and it's her favorite of all the special diet flavors, but I haven't been able to find it in the 3 grocery stores I shop at for about a month. What's going on?? by on 06/12/2015
We have 6 cats. The oldest at 14 started having UTI's and bladder stones a year ago. The vet prescribed wet food was totally rejected by her but she would eat the vet prescribed dry. I've been giving all 6 a mix of Turkey and Giblets pate (almost all of them will vomit when any gravy or textured food is used) and dry and narrowed the flavors down to just Turkey and Giblets as they all will eat it with gusto. Any other flavors were rejected by at least one of them. Of course they have access to water in several places (they love the bubbler) and so far so good. Won't use any other kind but this one ever. by on 03/30/2015
  • Smudge loves it!
Smudge has eaten Friskies since she was old enough to eat adult food. Her tastes have changed over the years, for a long time she was all about texture. Shreds were her favorite! And gravy, don't forget gravy. But she'll be 20 in August, and she's now a big fan of the classic pate. I give her the Special Diet to help prevent any kidney issues- but my little girl is very healthy for her age! 19 years of Friskies and still going strong. by on 06/10/2014
  • Picky kitty prone to UTIs
My cat is very finnicky when it comes to her canned food. She doesn't like shreds or chicken in any form, but she will eat this stuff. Normally she just licks the gravy off her food and snubs it but this stuff she seems to enjoy quite a bit. Now if I only knew the calorie content of it. I really dislike how they don't put calorie information on cans :/ by on 02/22/2014
  • Great price
I have a diabetic cat that is also in renal failure. He hates the prescription food so I bought him this to keep him off insulin. I would wish that you would make a chicken and gravy special diet or the shred versus the pate as he prefers that over the pate. It's very difficult to find a canned food that is low in carbs, not too high in protein, and low and phosphorus. by on 01/13/2014
  • Life saver!
My little rescue has Feline Idiopathic Urinary Syndrome; which means if it flares she won't urinate. They don't know what causes it per say but is not life threatening and very manageable with dietary changes. The vet recommended some expensive, and horribly gross prescription food. Yuk, cat went on a hunger strike. Thank you Friskies, this food is a life saver! She loves it and we have had1 flare up since I started her on this October 2012. She is very happy and very healthy, I am grateful and her Vet is overjoyed with how well she is doing. If I could give this product 10 stars I would. If anyone has a cat with any urinary issues buy this food. This is all my girl eats, no dry food ever just Special Diet. Great product, thanks again. by on 08/21/2013
  • Special Diet canned foods
I truly appreciate these Special Diet foods for my 10 yo boy cat, Toby, who has had UTIs a few times. They are affordable and all my cats love them. Thank you, Friskies! by on 06/06/2013
