Rated 5 out of 5by This product works very well.It really easy to give to my dogs. However, when it comes to the cat it's nearly impossible without some form of trickery to avoid risk of being scratched or bitten because he's smarter than my dogs. 07/08/2013
Rated 5 out of 5by She was going insane! After 2 years of being a dog, and 1 year of living with my cat brother, I thought Mom was going to go insane from fleas. So, Mom and Dad bought us Capstar for a terrible infestation. It started working within minutes, and my entire body wasn't itching! I was able to rest without waking up to scratch. We love Capstar! 08/16/2011
Rated 4 out of 5by Flea KillerThis product works brilliantly. I live in Florida where fleas are prevalent all year round and I have 2 energetic dogs that love to run into the large weeded area in my back yard (behind the shed so its hard to get rid of the weeds). I tried many flea products with no success until now. I am very pleased with Capstar. 05/23/2011
Rated 5 out of 5by It Really Does Work - Thank GoodnessWe have four cats, Patches, Tigger, Mr Chew Chew and Rusty. Love them all, except for the fleas. It wasn't all that bad, but it made me crazy watching them scratch all of the time. The topical didn't work very well, but, Capstar Flea Killer did. They all have stopped scratching. We combed each of the cats and in the combs teeth their were dead fleas. THIS PRODUCT DOES WORK!!! It is less expensive then going to the vets, less stress on the cats. Fantastic product! 01/28/2011
Rated 5 out of 5by Capstar/Frontline/AdvantageIntroduced to Capstar by our vet after a terrible 2010 infestation. Great for the quick kill but if you don't get to the source, the pet will reinfest within a day or two. After several years of using Frontline, I will give them no more of my money; they have either changed the formula or fleas are more resistant. Advantage seems to work pretty well so far. 12/28/2010
Rated 5 out of 5by Really Works!I just moved in a home that possibly had prior pets. The 3,00 sq ft of area was completely overran with fleas. My German Shepard and Rotty suffered. I bought a box of Capstar pills. Low and behold it worked! the dogs are scratching less with no moaning and groaning. I just bought 2 more boxes along with a yard repellent. I have retaken my home and now I've begun giving them home remedy products along with the product. I recommend Capstar 1000% 11/11/2010
Rated 5 out of 5by Buy Capstar AND a topical product like Frontline!I used this on my cats many times. Your cat will itch like crazy for thirty minutes or so after you give it to the cat, but it's worth it. You MUST use a secondary product like Frontline! Capstar is an immediate effective product that will last 24 hours. You need to use Frontline (or similar) to have long term flea killing. Otherwise the fleas WILL come back! Also make sure to thoroughly vacuum or sweep up your floors, beds, under the beds, on top of cabinets - Wherever your cat has been at even once, you'll need to clean. Look for flea eggs (they look like spilled salt) and larvae (which look like gross tiny maggots). If someone takes your flea ridden cat (or cats) to the vet to let the vet give them Capstar (as it is a pill and many cats are hard to give pills to) have someone else be at your home to clean it thoroughly or even use a flea fogger in your home and some kind of treatment for your yard (if your cat is outdoors or if you know there are oodles of fleas outside). If you just use Capstar you WILL NOT get rid of your fleas. Capstar is like lightning - quick, deadly, but doesn't last long. Yeah, while I'm at the storm analogy, Frontline is like rain - it can last a long while if the storm is intense enough, lol!! Good luck with your fleas, everyone!! 10/19/2010
Rated 5 out of 5by vet gave to my sick dogcost $12.50 for 1 pill at vets. Worked a miracle, but is only good for 24 hours. There is a pill that works for 30 days and I'm ordering that here for $55 for 6. Vet charges $20. per pill. 10/11/2010
Rated 5 out of 5by Capstar is the only thing that is working this summerThe Fleas have been horrible this year and we have not been able to get rid of them this year. This has given my cats relief, it does work instantly and has to be regiven to continue to work. Being a frugal person, I have found every 3-4 days works best as advantage or frontline are not working in my house anymore (I think the darn things have built up an imunity) but I also use a pill splitter as I have 2 cats both under 10lbs and it seems to work the best, I can stretch the pills and still have the same effect, with half the cost 09/14/2010
Rated 5 out of 5by Works great for what it's made forThis is not a product for long term repellent, this is to be used to quickly kill fleas. People bring me their flea covered pets for grooming, I give them a capstar and bathe them. I tell the owners while the pet is at my place, go home and use a flea bomb on the house and spray the yard. When the pet gets home, treat it with a monthly product & keep it up. You might have to do it all again the next month until all flea eggs have hatched but by the 2nd monthly treatment all fleas should be gone. 08/24/2010
Rated 4 out of 5by cant live with out capstari do rate capstar a 4 because it does not last long enough, i give my cat one she does get releved from fleas then in a day in a half here comes the fleas again and capstar coat money they are not chep,,, if only there was a capstar for a once a month them its worth the money maybe one day they will make capstar to give cats only once a month, 08/03/2010
Rated 2 out of 5by IneffectiveI tried both the 2-25 pound for my cats and the over 25 pound for my dog. This product didn't give any of them relief from their fleas. It is supposed to kill all fleas and ticks on the animal within 24 hours. It did not! Even when utilizing a flea bath after administering the product to wash off the difficult and/or dead fleas, adult fleas remained after the kill period (24 hours). I dosed the animals two days later and again two days after that, using up $60.00 in flea killing product in less than a week. Let me know when you start selling a flea killer that works. 07/28/2010
