Hemp seeds have high amounts of cannabinoids and extremely little THC, which differentiates it from cannabis. It also contains omega-3 and omega-6 fats, which aids the immune system and decreases chronic inflammation. Hemp seed oil has also shown to reduce the growth of cancer and metastasis in lung, breast, and brain cancer. It also has loads of vital minerals such as zinc and manganese, making it a healthy addition to your pet’s diet.If you want to give your pet hemp seed oil, you need to buy fresh seeds and grind it. You can also directly buy the oil from a store. Once you have the oil, you can directly add a teaspoon of it to your pet’s food.
- TurmericThere has been a lot of studies about Turmeric’s role in cancer prevention and treatment. According to the American Cancer Society, the active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin is effective in reducing the size of tumors and destroying cancer cells. Curcumin prevents mammary cancer cells from growing and spreading; controls inflammation and prevents mast cells from activating; in osteosarcoma, the cancer cells die.It is also effective in reducing pain in pets. If you want your pet to consume turmeric, you need ½ cup of turmeric, 1 cup of water, ¼ cup of coconut oil and 1 ½ teaspoons of freshly ground pepper. Mix these ingredients in a pan and low/medium heat it for 5 – 10 minutes, until it becomes a paste. You can start adding a teaspoon of this mixture to your pet’s meal every day.
