My dogs love pill pockets!

Pill pockets are the greatest thing for owners with pets that don't take pills well! It is easy and my dogs love them! I even tear them in half so I get more use out of the bag!

has saved both me and my dog lots of frustration

My dog is in heart failure and has to take 5 pills twice a day. Hiding the pills in her food or other treats was not working too well. She was sniffing out the pills, invariably eating everything but the pills, and often caused me to have to waste expensive medication (especially fragile capsules) and try again. With such a high quantity of pills, popping the pills in the back of her throat for swallowing was unrealistic and frustrating to do on a daily basis. These pill pockets are great. My dog loves them so much she swallows them whole. In 18 months, she has not once sniffed out a pill or spit anything out. Also these are really pliable. You can take one pill pocket and split it in two and mold them to the size of your pills or customize for any quantity. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly

The pill pockets saved me a lot of frustration. My two little Pomeranians are on medications twice a day and I, too, tried wrapping the pills in various meats and cheeses. But darn! They always found the pills and spit them out. We wasted a lot of time, not to mention several pills, until I discovered Pill Pockets. Pricey, yes, but worth its weight in gold. Mold that little treat around the pill(s) and your dog(s) will never know.

My bichon loved the taste of the pill pocket, but unfortunately spit out the pills. She is a pro in that she has taken two to three pills a day for the past seven years -- might work for a non-pro! I will stick to peanut butter and the pill shooter.

no more problems!

We have three dogs & one that can eek out a pill disguised in the most reliable of places! I always was bummed when we were needing to give an oral med in pill form, that our pet needed the meds but was very adroit in not taking them! This is no longer a problem. The Pill Pocket is soft enough to mold around any pill and appealing enough in flavor that my dog just gulps it down. Its concictency is such that dogs are not able to licck it off and leave the pill, like they do so often with other methods. It seems to be very flavorful and smells a bit like beef jerky. The large ones are so big that I usually use only half, stretching out this product that is somewhat pricey.

They saved our Katie Mae's life!

In July, 2006, Katie was diagnosed with a life threatening heart problem. Her vet prescribed 3 meds, all to be taken twice daily. She would not take them! We tried everything. She could always find the pills and spit them out! Her health was failing. Katie's new cardiologist suggested we try Pill Pockets. We could not believe that we had never heard of them before. Everything our vet said was true. Katie ate them, liked them, and her health improved immediately. It was also much less stressful for her and for us, and she has not had any heart episodes since we started using them! The only problem with Pill Pockets is that no other vet ever mentioned them to us before and many pet owners just don't know about them. Maybe the company who makes them should make small packets to give to vets to send home with prescriptions! Once a person tries them, they will have to buy more!
