About Chlorpheniramine
Chlorpheniramine is an affordable over-the-counter antihistamine that is available in tablet, long-acting capsule, and syrup form; it is regularly used to treat a variety of veterinary ailments, most commonly to relieve symptoms from reactions to contact, inhaled, or drug induced allergens such as snake or insect bites, bee stings, vaccinations, poison ivy, or poison oak. It is also an option when managing chronic allergy symptoms such as itchy skin, watery eyes, sneezing, and congestion, and is quite effective in cats in these cases, as in the treatment of miliary dermatitis. Chlorpheniramine is often useful in treating your pet for motion sickness, and is sometimes used for feline asthma.
