I don't recomend this product
I use this product on my dog ..and It diden't work ..my dog was scratching all the time ...I rather go back to Frontline Plus this product really works well and my dogs were free of leas when I used it before ..

All these reviews about flea medications (Advantix) not working, you must
be doing something wrong. I did my first order Monday rec'd it Friday (11-13)
applied it to my 9 dogs (7 shelties,1 lab and a Cairn terrior) and 5 cats and now 24 hrs later they are all fleafree, and they were ridden with them. No more scratching or biting. They are peaceful and the house is quiet. I am so happy I ordered the Advantix and not something cheaper.

I used to use Frontline on my 2 dogs. I never had a problem with fleas. I tried K9 Advantix and my dogs itch up a storm and its doesn't prevent fleas. I have a very clean house and my pets are not around other animals so i think i will stick to the Frontline. It appears to be a better produck.

Only thing that worked
Nothing would work for my 7 month old puppy until I bought this. First we used Frontline from the vet. We tried it twice. It did not work. The vet was afraid of getting too many toxins into my 7 lb. puppy. He told me to wet a wash cloth and use Dawn liquid dish detergent. Wet the dog well with the washcloth that has the Dawn detergent on it. It kills the fleas on contact. I rinsed all of the dead fleas from her. I put her in my bathtub and used a hand held hose. Then we used Advantix. Be careful about getting the soap in the dog's eyes. She stopped scratching and has been without fleas since.She is now almost 9 months old.

It Does Work
I have a Rott. and a Lab Pitt mixed and this stuff works I have not seen any fleas or ticks and we live in a wooded area.

Dont count on it
My 16 month old maltese gets advantix every month,works great on fleas,but not on ticks. Last month she tested positive for lyme disease,we are doing 30 days of antibiotic. My vet said there is nothing thats works 100%. It takes a tick with lyme disease only 24 hours to infect your dog. Check your dogs every day for ticks. We did and my sweet little 6 pound girl still got it. Everyone that reads this please keep a close eye on your dogs.

Have a rat terrier and have found the K9 Advantix works quite well . Don't see any fleas on him and that is after using only half as much as called for. The dog seems to be sensative to the stuff if I use the whole tube. I bought 6 months worth last year and used for 4 months he was flea free up until this month. Now he is comfortable once again.

It's ok
I used Frontline plus for years and when I moved into the house I currently live in (6 months ago), my dogs got infested with fleas. Come to find out, one of my roomates is a horri le dog owner with his Golden Retreiver. Finally, we all switched over to Advantix, but I have not really noticed much of a difference. We have treated the yard, house, flea dips, etc..... My dogs seem to do a little better on the Advantix, but his golden Retreiver is still loaded with fleas and the Advantix doen't seem to be working on him. NEVER LET YOUR HOUSE GET INFESTED AND NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM MOVING OUT TO GET MY DOGS AWAY FROM IT. We are going to do Comfortis (internal systemic) along with Advantix starting next week, I really hope it works.

Used to use Frontline Plus, but it stopped working. Have also tried Advantage, no good. This is the only product which killed both fleas and ticks for the stated time period.

This is the best I have found. My Maltese use to be covered in fleas. I've used flea shampoo, spray, collar & Advantage all at once & it did not work. A co-worker told me about K9 Advantix. I figured, "We have tried everything else. What do we have to loose". From the 1st months application, we have not seen a flea on our Max since. We have been using it now for a little over a year and I would never use anything else.

Lyme Disease with Advantix
I live on a wooded property in the Northeast. I also hike in wooded areas w/ my 85 lb. Golden Retriever. That said, my dog became lame and lethargic; was diagnosed w/ Lyme disease by my vet and is now on a 28 day regimen of antibiotics. After Frontline failed to keep the ticks away, we switched to Advantix but now he has Lyme. I applied the Advantix religiously, but found ticks 3 weeks after application. I am going to ask my vet about a Lymne vaccine, which I read about on a veterinary website. If you live in an area such as mine w/ a large breed dog, Advantix is not a sure preventative.

One month before using this product , my lab got 4 ticks( he's a yellow lab)

FRONTLINE WITH ADVANTIX-USE 2 WEEKS APART
I HAVE 2 CAIRN TERRIERS-AGES 12-(HE) AND 3YO-(SHE)-SHE IS HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO FLEAS. SINCE THIS DOG CAME TO US AT 9 WEEKS SHE PKD UP FLEAS. Works wonderfullly!
I have used K9 Advantix on my 2 dogs for years now and have never seen a single flea! We don't have ticks in our area so I don't know how well it works for those. I would recommend to anyone living in Michigan though!

I have found this product great for fleas, however, doesn't help very well with ticks. My dog spent a week at the kennel. A couple of days before I sent her, I applied her monthly treatment. When I brought her home she didn't have fleas, but I did find ticks and have had great difficulty getting rid of them.

Frontline Plus stopped working for us
We had used Frontline Plus for years but I think the fleas developed an inmmunity to it. We switched to K9 Advantix and we have not seen any fleas or ticks

Works Great In Our Area!
We've always used Revolution for our Lab, when we lived in Tucson, AZ. We moved to the Missouri, Ozarks 2 years ago and the Revolution didn't work at all here. It wasn't until I tried the Advantix that we had total coverage for Fleas AND Ticks. I think it all depends on where you're living. Fleas were not a big deal and we never saw a tick in AZ. In the Ozarks, even I get ticks when gardening, and the fleas are terrible all year long.

Relief for my dog
My dog was miserable, because she was covered with fleas. She got them from a stray cat in the neighborhood,who had entered our back yard. We used Advantix, and the next day, our dog was feeling much better. Her scratching has stopped, which in turn, has ended our sleepness nights, caused by her restlessness. Plus,she feels so much better,too!

It works
I tried using "store brand" flea and tick control, but it does not work! I kept trying different cheap brands to try to save money, but they didn't really work. My vet recommended advantix, and within 24 hours all itching ceased! this is a great product, worth the money and peace of mind knowing that my dog is definately pest free and happy!

didn't work very well
We have two beagles who spend alot of time outdoors. Advantix worked pretty good at first on our older beagle, who stays inside more. Our younger beagle, who spends a lot of time outside was still flea infested a few days after using this product. Even though we kept using it for several months, it eventually quit working on both dogs. Our flea problem is just as bad as when we started with Advantix. We need to try another product.

not so much...
I have 2 old dogs and by old I mean 14 and 16. I used the Advantix on them thru 4 treatments and never saw a flea but not so much luck with the ticks ! The entire summer I have been infested with them and I am going out of my mind !!!

Not convinced that it works
I've been using this product for 8 months on my dog....an almost two-year-old Westie. He still has fleas....not many, but a few every week or so and an occasional tick. We used Frontline on our first dog and it worked great. I probably will not buy K9 Advantix again. I'd like to change now, but I bought a six months supply!

Sudden switch and very satisfied!
We have always used Frontline Plus, since day one and we switched 3 months ago to K9 Advantix and will not be going back. It is a bit cheaper and the dogs are fine with the switch. It works better!

This product is easy to use, and it works. We have 2 gwp's that are pretty much one of the family, they are on the furniture and sleep with us, there is no lasting odor nor does it get on the furniture. You need to wait maybe 20 to 30 minutes to be absorbed and for their fur to dry, and it doesn't cause them any problems. Would recommend it for any pet.

the dogs are happy again!
we used this product last year on our labs and were pleased with the results. we purchased 2 tubes for $40 through a vet going through petcarerx we were able to purchase 4 tubes for the same price. that is amazing. we were so excited at how quickly we recieved it in the mail. my labs are happy again and so am i. a simply amazing product!!!

Does the job right first time
I use this product on my lab/mix and also on my daughters Beagle. We go out on the hiking trails and pick up a few ticks. The sad part is the ticks are on my husband and I not the dogs! I swear by K9 Avantix it works beautifully. Now if only there was a product for humans that worked as well.

Frontline users TAKE NOTE
K9-Advantix is the BOMB. for years I lived in the city, frontline worked fine THEN. Moved to the wide open country with trees and grass and weeds and LOTS OF BUGS- fleas, ticks, mosquitoes. Of course I continued with Frontline as that's what my vet stocked, finally got smart when i noticed my 4 legged kids were going bald and scratching themselves silly. Decided to try K9- I figured the mosquito reppellent was worth something, even if the bugs hung around. TO MY GREAT HAPPINESS, 2 days after applying K9- NO BUGS AT ALL- and my kids are longhaired . Will never buy another product- unless they upgrade K9. THANKS for the speedy delivery also ordered on Monday got it Wednesday morning. great product outstanding service.

Works Like A Charm
I have 3 Shih tzu's 2 females one a puppy and one male. They love to play outside but also love to sleep with me. In one day the puppy completly stopped scratching. This works so fast. The other two haven't had a single flea. We are flea free and happy.

Great stuff
I have used advantage for about 1 or 2 years and it worked but not as long as it is suppose to. Then I tried frontline plus for about 6 months and it did not last long either. Then a breeder told me to try Advantix K9 so I did and so far it has worked great. Flea and tick season this year has been really bad. I put the flea med on my dog and the next morning the fleas were dead on her dog bed.

Advantix does Work
My two dog's were bringing tick's in the house, we could'nt figure out why because we walk them everyday.The tick's were popping up here and there on the floor and the curtain's. I had saw a commercial about pet meds and had ordered Advantix. It has been a week since i applied it to my dog's and I have'nt seen one tick anywhere.This stuff really work's.I had tried frontline in the past and that did not work on my dog's. It is alway's good to find and item that is worth the money.

I ordered this product and two days later it was at my home! I am super impressed with that. However, I entered a $10 off code and realize upon receiving my confirmation email that the $10 had not been taken off. I had to call and ask about it. The $10 was put back in my account two days later. Other than that little hang up, I am very pleased and will be using PetCare RX again.

This product worked great. My two Shelties (Rocky and Bella) have very sensitive skin. They had no adverse reaction to this product. No signs of fleas or ticks on the dogs. Great product. Ain't no bugs on them!

Repels wonderfully
I have 4 indoor cats and 3 dogs and this has worked by far the best at repelling fleas and ticks. Therefore, I do not treat my cats with anything because the dogs don't bring the pests inside. I just love it.

Great Product
We use the Advantix on our German Shepherd and Bassett Hound and it does a great job. I tried the Hartz brand and other off brands and they do not work. We will continue to use the Advantix!

Living in Southern Louisiana we have more than our share of ticks, fleas, and especially mosquitoes. The mosquito is our state bird after all...
Our Shar Pei, Jazzy, has never had a problem with the creepy crittters infesting or biting her, and she spends a lot of time outdoors with us in the yard and taking walks.
She's never brought a bug into the house with her.
This is an awesome product.

I made a huge mistake
So I tried frontline plus this summer for the first time and all 4 of my animals now have fleas. They itch like crazy and literally pull their hair out trying to get to fleas. We've had them for 11 years and used advantix, but I decided to try something cheaper, and you get what you pay for. This product never had a flea on my animals and I will not switch again.

Its timing out
I do like K9 over other products we've tried.However, the last few times we've used K9, it does'nt seem to be lasting the full month. Our dog is getting ticks towards the end of the 3rd week. We do live in a high tick infested area but that makes me really want to be able to depend on K9.

Wait Three Days After Bath
I could not understand why it worked really well some times and not other times. Right after a bath does not work as well as waiting some time (2-3 days). Told it has to do with the dog's oil on their skin, and a bath washes it off.

Better Than Advantage or Frontline But Not Perfect
My dog seems less itchy than he was with Frontline or Advantage, the last two products I tried (this product is much more expensive than either of those - but I wouldn't buy the Frontline again, which seemed almost ineffective). But he's still not 100% itch-free, so I'm still open to trying the new Comfortis and/or Promeris to see what works best. I think the older products may work better on puppies than on older dogs because they used to work much better on my dog, who's now 11. Maybe they get saturated into their bloodstream up to a certain limit over time and after they reach that limit, a new formulation with a new active ingredient will work better. But that's just a theory - it may be that new generations of fleas have developed an immunity to products that have been around a while. In any case, after trying this product, I can't say I'm dissatisfied, but I'd still like to find something that leaves my little guy itch-free - he has an allergic reaction from even one flea bite.

I have been using this product for two years and I actually see the mosquitoes fly away from my dog. I have never had any problems with this product. I recommend it highly a long with my vet. I also get my dog vaccinated for lyme disease.

Pros and Cons
Our Westie, Elvis, was on Frontline Plus, but he scratched a lot and the vet put him on an allergen-free diet. He still itched and scratched. We switched to Advantix and the amount of itching and scratching decreased noticeably. HOWEVER, Advantix seems to be much less effective with ticks than Frontline Plus and it leaves a yellowish oily residue on his hair. And since Westies are white, the oily stains are unsightly. We put half between his shoulder blades and half at the base of his tail.

I bought a 6 mo. supply of this product. I am on my 3rd application and still finding ticks on my dog. Not dead ticks either, they are sticking to him and are well alive. I guess I'll try frontline next time.

Back Up Flea Protection used with Sentinel
For my two labs, I use Sentinel heart worm and flea protection year round. It works well during the winter but from May through October, they need additional flea protection or start to itch and bite at themselves. Advantix works great and can be used in conjuction with Sentinel which is a plus. Use it when you need it. My labs are flea free year round which is great.

IT'S WORKING !!!

Great product--can't live without it
We frequently walk our dog in the woods and she plays in high grasses and along the shore of a river. When I find a tick on her, it is usually dead already or dying. None have imbedded since we started with this product. The other product we tried helped kept the fleas off, but not the ticks. I wouldn't dream of using anything else on our beloved pal!

I've used K9 Advantix in the past on my dog and it worked great! Lately there has been an increse of ticks in my area and no matter what I put on my animals the ticks keep coming in the house. I'm hoping the second application will stop the ticks. I have no doubts that the medication works, I've had success in the past.

Frontllne didn't work on my dogs; Advantix does!
I lost hundereds of dollars to a flea infestation when I returned from Florida with fleas even though I was using Frontline religiously. The Frontline people insisted I must be doing something wrong and I wasn't. It took 4 months to get the fleas out of my house. Then voila! Switched From Frontline and Love It
If anyone is like me about flea medicine for dogs, you know that once you use something you like, you stick with it. I was hesitant to switch at first but finally did last year and I've had better results with K-9 Advantix. Dre never got fleas but did get into something that ate at his skin one time with Frontline on; Knock on wood I haven't had that problem with Advantix. I highly recommend it. (Dog owner of 5+ years).

This product is better for our dogs; one a Shepherd mix and the other a Cocker Spaniel. The wooded area we live in has a lot of ticks. SInce we switched to K9 Advantix we have found no more ticks on the dogs. I read an article suggesting switching back and forth between two products to get the benefits of both. Thought this was a good tip. May go back to Frontline Plus during the cooler months, once summer is passed and mosquitos aren't such a problem. Pleased with the speed of shipping from PetCareRx.

Fleas everywhere!!!!
I have just purchased this after trying bio spot, capstar, flea shampoo's, and brewers yeast. You still have to treat everything in your house and use K9A. Otherwise, the fleas that lay eggs in your carpet and our bed will just jump right back onto the dogs. Is seems to be working. I hate fleas!!! It also will protect them from the wonderful ticks that we get in the spring.

Works well but side effects
Product works great against fleas and ticks but both my dogs suffered side effects that appear to be similar to having allergies, including shaking their head/ears for weeks after application. At first, I didn't realize what was causing their problems. It wasn't until several months later (after consecutive monthly applications) that I figured out the syptoms were occuring after applying Advantix. Also, one of my dogs ran into a closet and hid and wouldn't come out when he saw the box. That was a strong statement and the deciding factor for me not to use the product again. Their allergic reactions went away when I discontinued using the product.

My vet recommended this brand when my sheltie had picked up flees. We live in an area that has a heavy mosquito season, and my vet (as well as the product literature) says this product will protect against those as well as the flees and ticks. I'd have to say that I was impressed to find the flee problem was resolved very quickly (within 24 hours) after the application. I'm sticking with this product. I have used others in the past, but this one has been the best overall protection.

Use this if you live in a high tick area. We live in the country and have several ticks already brought into the house from outside, but only one of the ticks in the house has come from the dog! In the sticks with fernal cats
The commercial says "ain't no bugs on me", well I have seen many boo coo fleas on my dog within a week of putting on the product. She had been bathed in Baby shampoo and was outside. A wild kitten showed up in the outside storage barn which she tried to play with. When I got her to the house fleas were all over her. I called the vet and they said that they would be dead within 12 hours But meanwhile they got many bites in on her which I was trying to protect her from as she is alergic to the bites. This is about a week later and I have not found any new fleas but of course she is still going nuts scratching and bitting on herself. I think that it is a slight bit better than Frontline +

I like very much the fact that my dog is clear of parasites but worry on the fact that he seems to be itching on the location where the product was administered at least 4-5 days after. I have tried relieving him after 4-5 days by wiping it down with a wet towel-Is this something we need to be concerned about??? Pls reply.

Reaction after application.
I have noticed that right after the application, my dog constantly tries to scratch the area where the product is applied. I usually let the product stay on him for a full 24 hrs and I bathe him after. I can't stand to see him bothered by it. As per the ad, water won't wash it down. Am I doing this right? Or is there a better way for me to do this without causing so much itch on my puppy?

Better than Frontline Plus Frontine does not work!!
***** the best we have ever tried. Kills fleas keeps them off. Frontline is a waste of money. Advantix has made our life and our pets life much better. I never thought I would find anything that worked. We tried powders, stinky dips. Pills from the vet. This is a great product. I hope the formula never changes. With Frontline she threw up everytime we applied it and it did not work!!! Advantix has made a world of difference. The fleas were in our carpet biting visitors and their childern and babies. Please never change this product. Marley does not get sick when it is applied that means alot but, it truly has worked. Hopefully from now on this is the only product we will ever have to buy. Well, worth the small extra cost there is no comparision to Frontline. Frontline does not work on our dog at all.

STAY AWAY DOESNT KILL TICKS
I used this product due to recommendation and now my Dog contracted LYME DISEASE. We always used FRONTLINE PLUS without a problem. I should of never switched.

The Only Thing That Works!!!
Advantix K9 kills fleas and ticks every time. We live in the woods where there's a huge problem with ticks. Frontline was useless against them. One day after applying, there are no more ticks. Keeps the mosquitoes away too.

my husband and I moved to a historic central district where you have neighbors very close on either side. We always keep up on our yard, controlling the best we can fleas, ticks & Mosquitos. Sorry to say, our neighbors do not do the same nor do they take good care of thier dogs health and living conditions...but my dogs love running up and down the fence with them. This product gives us peace of mind that our dogs will be free of pest even if their "friends" are not. It works!

Advantix for Dogs
I have to Jack Russell Terrier's and they love to run in the yard. I can actually say that I have seen Mosquitos head towards them and then veer off. It works great!! Wish there was something that worked as well for me.

was reading some of the reviews, for the pets. we have 5 pets. I had been trying to get my husband to switch. from the program that we have been using. it just wasn't working anymore. my husband took our 5 dogs to the groomer. And she told him to try it. It works. within 24 hours not a flea on any of the dogs. My husband couldn't believe it. We wasted many years on a product, that didn't work,at all. For our dogs. We have only three dogs and 2 cats now. The two older dogs we lost due to old age. But no matter what, the remaining dogs and cats will get this product, until they are no longer with us. Thank you for making a product that works for both the cats,dogs, and for the owners. we love it.

It is not advantage
I'm not going to say that it is not a good product, afterall it is from the makers of Advantage and that is how my vet managed to entice me to try it. I have 3 dogs, a border collie, a lab, and a german shepard/rot mix. Both of the bigger dogs are outside all the time and I thought if it was anything like advantage with the added tic and mesquito replent I couldn't go wrong. I didn't notice much difference on the collie, but it didn't work near as well on the bigger dogs. So...it's back to Advantage we go.

Advantix K9 Flea Killer Plus is the Cat's Meow!!!!!
My most beloved Border Collie, Tripper, was a mess...I tried everything possible but his coat was dull and somewhat sparse from the scratching. During the warm weather months, I felt like I was on constant tick patrol. I tried flea collars, flea shampoos and even Advantage Flea control, all to no avail. Upon the first use of Advantix I saw a small difference and even more so as each monthly dose was applied. Now after the past 9 months have passed, tripper is BEAUTIFUL. His coat is full and shiny and healthy, the constant scratchin has ceased and I haven't seen a tick...not even 1. Thank-you Advantix
