Side Effects

The medication can bring about adverse reactions in certain animals, which can include vomiting, loose bowels, decreased appetite and lethargy. Some animals might also have increased thirst or urination, or even skin allergies and rashes. If irritation and symptoms of any sort caused by side effects persist, discontinue the medication.

Dosage Information

The drug is safe for use in both dogs and cats. The suggested dosage of the medication in dogs is 10mg/lbs every 8 hours, whereas in cats it is 9mg/lbs every 8-12 hours. Take care to provide the medication on empty stomach, preferably in the morning hours.
