Burmilla
History
Burmillas are the off springs produced from a chance mating between a Lilac Burmese and a Silver Chinchilla male in 1981. Since then Burmilla has become one of the most preferred breeds for cat lovers all over the world and it became an officially recognized breed in 1997.
Appearance
The Burmilla is a stunningly beautiful shorthaired medium sized cat with a contrasting shade over a silver base. The head is rounded with a short nose, tapering cheekbones and ears that are wide apart. The most salient features of Burmilla is the penciling around its cool green eyes, which give an impression of an eye makeup as well as the line around its lips that further highlights the Burmilla smile. Due to its Chinchilla parentage, these cats are long haired and they basically come in five attractive colors of Black, Blue, Brown Chocolate & Lilac.

Polycystic Kidney Disease is prevalent in this breed.
