Boston Terrier

History

The Boston Terrier is a truly American breed, which is the hybrid of the English Bulldog and the White English Terrier. Early usage of the dog was in the fighting pits of Boston, which gained it the name “Boston Terrier”. With its unusually attractive and well-groomed nature, the breed is today recognized among the dog lovers as the “people pleaser”. The Boston Terrier breed is considered as special dogs that are capable of doing extraordinary things.

Appearance

The breed has a body that is rather compact in square built and is short in appearance. The dog has a well-balanced body, with moderately sized head, curved short tail and with facial features reflecting high resolve and astuteness. The smooth coat is shaded brindle, seal or black and is equally marked in white. In short, the dog carries a neat and elegant attitude.

Personality

Unlike certain other breeds, the Boston Terrier is never fussy and is easy to train, which makes it an unbeatable companion. Extreme loyalty is something particular to this breed. Though considerate towards children and other pet breeds, these dogs do not tend to take tough play. Otherwise, this breed can be the perfect pet partner one can bring home.
