What are some of the reasons that a 6 year old dog would act older than his years? Harvey has a good appetite, is up on all his shots, was wormed last year just incase, and has good looking teeth and gums. But Harvey lays around like an old dog. He reminds me of my grandpa. Sits alot because getting up and moving is too much of an effort. And when my 2 year old dog gets Harvey to play, Harvey prefers to play while laying down. And on top of that, Harvey seem extremely slow at responding to all verbal commands. Much slower than he use to be. Could he be deaf, dumb and blind? Seriously! The poor boy needs energy or sometning. What do you suggest?

I recommend a visit to the vet for some blood tests and an exam. Maybe he has an underactive thyroid?? Good luck, vetcare
