Rated 5 out of 5 by mary55 my 4 dogs on for 3 weeks
My dogs absolutely love this and they will even eat it dry without any broth or wet food in it. I switched from a grocery store brand that I had used for years because my beagle had bad red skin on his belly. After a week on this his skin returned to normal and his coat is the shiniest it has ever been.
My other dogs coats have greatly improved as well. I highly recommend this formula.

I have two English bulldogs and have been using natural choice since we got them! I noticed nutro max at the store and wondered what the difference was cause the price was much lower.... No one at the pet store could really tell me so I compared both bags and seemed very comparable in ingredients. I switched to try save some money but you defiantly get what you pay for! My dogs have gotten sick multiple times and defiantly don't have their nice coat like their used too! I guess it might be a good product if you started it when they were puppies but don't switch from natural choice to nutro max to try and save money and the ingredients may appear to look the same on the bag!!

I have been using Natural Choice for over 6yrs. I noticed a difference in price a yr or so. And didnt correlate that it was different dog food.
My Lab was algeric to the MAX product line. I investigated further and noticed that there are the normal Natural Choice and then the MAX product line. I switched back to the Natural Choice (which cost about $20.00 more a bag than MX) from the MAX and all her symptoms went away immediately.
Not sure what they do different in the MAX food but it is true here. You get what you pay for!!.
My Lab is back to her SOFT coat self now :-). Save your dog some pain and stick with the main Natural Choice line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bob,Mt Affordable nutrition for my dogs
Economical nutrition for my yellow Lab, Yukon and my white Min. Schnauser. Both dogs eat this food with relish and maintain their weight, both of my dogs are elderly and remain in good health, hunor and good physical condition. I would, and have recomended this food to friends, and family members.

Rated 4 out of 5 by debhunter No more loose stools
We had tired many kinds of dog food and found no relief from loose stools and flatulence for our German Shorthair Pointer. I started reading articles on what to feed and what not to feed your dogs which lead to reading ingredients on the bags of food. All of the article said to stay away from beet pulp and corn.
Once we started on the Nutro Max our pooch cleared right up. Our little JRT can't eat anything else or she get diarrhea as well. So we're very pleased.
Being a label reader, I see beet pulp in in the list of ingredients now which is suppose to cause GI upset and we don't like that.. I sure hope our pups don't start having problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hounded Ideal For Improving Coats
I am a breeder of show Beagles, and Nutro has long since been my "show food". A few years back, when a popular brand around the show circuit downgraded its formula, my dogs stood out quite startlingly from the hounds eating the other brand, and I was frequently asked what coat supplements and chalking products I was using to keep coats so dense, soft and their white areas so vivid. No one could believe my dogs were eating a steady diet of Nutro Max, and nothing else.
Dogs not being actively shown were always on a rotation of pricy holistic feeds, and when the show dogs were put on these supposed 's star' diets, their coats inevitably went to pot. So I recently switched everyone to Nutro Max Lamb & Rice, which not only saves me between $15-20 per bag as opposed to the other foods, I am astounded how drastically coats have improved! I also notice a healthy change in their energy levels - no more doggie sugar rushes and intense bursts of hyperactivity followed by crashes. They have even activity levels throughout the day, and I know that means Nutro is a meat based, healthy food. I now recommend this shamelessly to anyone who will listen.
