Cyproheptadine 4mg is an antihistamine oral medication in treating and controlling allergy responses in dogs and cats. The drug acts effectively against histamine related swelling, itchiness and such other allergy related symptoms. The anti-serotonin property contained in the drug makes it the most commonly prescribed appetite stimulant for diseased cats. Cyproheptadine, the active ingredient present in the medication is responsible for the antihistamine effects of the medicine. Precautions

Do not use the medicine unless prescribed by a qualified veterinarian. Though there are not many instances of adverse reactions to the medicine, care must be taken while dealing with it.
