When I was in jr. high, I got my first kitten. Living in a small town, and being a farm girl, cat food was just whatever you picked up at the local store. My cat, though a wonderful, big boy, was always overweight, had a dull coat, and had digestive problems. Eventually, he developed diabetes and passed. My first love was gone.
After high school, I moved to a big city and got a job at one of the big name pet stores. There I got my education, and the knowledge that my baby's life could have been much different.
I learned that food is the most important part of care for your pet. I learned that cats are carnivores, they need meat, they need special nutrients that the low cost brands don't provide. They don't provide it because they don't base their product on meat. What happens to a carnivore that doesn't eat meat? They suffer. They get sick. They don't look as good as they could. Why don't they use more meat? It's expensive. That's it, that's all. Eukanuba uses meat. They understand what cats need and why they need it.
I spent the years I worked at that store selling bag after bag of Eukanuba to customers who came in to pick up a bag of whatever was cheapest. Whether it was because they wanted their cat to be healthy, to look better or even to use the litter box less! That's right, go less. When there's more meat and less indigestible filler, they go less! Who doesn't want to spend less time at the litter box?
When I got my second cat, a beautiful little black long hair poly-dactyl kitten (she had an extra toe on each front paw) I started feeding her Eukanuba from the very beginning. She was shiny, happy and healthy from the start and is the love of my life.
Do your cat and yourself a favor, Eukanuba always, from the very start.

I have been raising pets for 50 years and have never had such good results, pet acceptance and confidence in a product as I have had in Eukanuba. I feed the dry Adult Chicken formula and it is the only thing my cat will eat. He even turns down the occasional morsal of chicken or tuna in preference to his Eukanuba. His health is great, he looks good and his teeth are excellent per the vet. Not bad for an eight year old cat. I also feed Eukanuba brand dog food to my five dogs with the same excellent results.

I have 5 cats and it is hard to please that many personalities especially when it comes to food. But I have found that all 5 love the Adult Chicken Formula. They are all very healthy and beautiful. Thanks Eukanuba!

Good product. My cat has always enjoyed Euk food. However, I don't like the new packaging. I liked it when I could zip-lock the bag shut in the old packaging.

I have one cat who is a VERY picky eater who would rather starve than eat (and almost has) but after many $$ spent of buffets of brands over 10 yrs we finally found Eukanuba, which all 3 LOVE. Picky Eater loved the Natural versions of the Chix and the Salmon even more but now it's disappeared from the stores. If this was a test market please label so in the future.
