Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is easy to use and very effective. I need to use this product on a regular basis. I inquired into buying this item in bulk. Although only available in single use packets, PetCare gave me the product at 20% off and also free shipping to offset the cost of buying it as a single packet. They also wanted to know how often I would use this product as they wanted to be sure to have enough on hand when I need it. This is excellent customer service and they have really gone the extra mile for me. July 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well. Works well. After a long battle with a constantly constipated cat due to an injury, I seen a Vet who recommended a high fat diet. He said as high crude fat as possible. It worked. Try to find a food with 5+% crude fat. I guess the fat makes the food more slippery. I also was told to sprinkle "a little" MiraLax on his wet food two meals a day. About a quarter of a tea spoon in a splash of water poured on the food. Yes, this is, and is supposed to be, a small amount of MiraLax. No dry food. This combination worked for my cat for years now. Yet, sometimes he still needs an enema. I used this before and ordered more. I bought a baby/child enema syringe with a gentle tip and transfer the enema to it. If this combination works for you, pass it on. June 26, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 Good product but be careful This product works well but 12 mls is quite a lot with my experience with my cat with chronic constipation and mega colon, Try 1/3 of this amount to start, at the most 1/2 at a time, the other half can be repeated in an hr if no results. see your vet about lactulose orally. walmart has it cheap, works best for me given 1/2 hr to 1 hr after every meal or 3-4 times a day, 1-2mls. Do this consistantly and keep in touch with your vet. Your cat may not need as much. also, keep in mind if used often the results will eventually become less and less, very important to keep the oral going. after 3yrs, i am going to have my cat the surgery, partial colectomy. it has good reviews. but hope you don't have to go that far. God bless! April 21, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Thank You For This Site & Animal Lovers. I had recently wrote in asking for help for my cat who was having trouble moving his bowels. like many others with the same problem my heart goes out to u all. after i had written in my cat had gotten worse so i had to take him to the vet another high bill i cant afford ,then the doctor came in and examined Toby my cat and he was backed up to much witch would of needed an operation and then there was not garentee he would be ok . well It was the Sadest day in my life II had to put my best friend down. : ( I called Angel View and asked for a private creamtion so i can have my Toby back home where he belongs. Good luck to all of u animals lovers, and Thank You. October 1, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 great product I'm so glad I found this site. Our cat suffers from mega colon and each visit to the vet was costing hundreds. For 1 enema they charged $29.00 and the cat usually got 3 and 4 each visit. Do you have any idea how many I can purchase for $116.00? I now give him one when I see that he needs it at a cost of $5.00 You can't beat that. June 14, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 Very good. Usually I use liquid glycerin suppositories when my cat gets poorly in this way (he is also on meds and liquid paraffin, but often still needs extra "help"). When the liquid glycerin just does not do the job, I reach for this. I think the foaming at the mouth comes from actually licking the stuff--I am fairly sure that docusate is a soap-like substance, and they will foam at the mouth intensely and be very unhappy for the taste if they lick this. I started using a washcloth and wipe him off after; since then, no foaming at the mouth. October 27, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 This stuff really does work. It works well, but it is very messy for your pet. Make sure you put your pet in the bathroom or a hard-floor room where you can clean up. My cat sometimes doesn't make it to the box, so that's why I do that. Judge your animal's size carefully and don't give him too much, or he will get sick and froth at the mouth. Use caution, and it works well! July 30, 2007
