Dr. Joe’s Tick it Away is a forked prong device that safely detaches ticks from your pet’s skin. This remover is designed to pull the tick out in a perpendicular motion so that the ectoparasite slides out without breaking. By removing the tick intact and alive, you reduce the risk of infecting the wound with the tick’s regurgitation materials (a reflex of being injured), or leaving part of the tick’s mouth or head in the skin. These tick removers are made of disposable plastic, and should not be reused.

How Does Dr. Joe's Tick It Away Work?
The prongs of this device isolate the tick and trap it into its grooves. The device then lifts the tick up and out of the skin in a perpendicular motion, like a crowbar prying out a nail, so that the tick leaves the skin alive and intact.

Rated 5 out of 5 it's about time I work at a summer camp with over 300 children and ticks have always been a major concern. They are frightening for the children as well as a possible health risk. With this product tick removal is quick, clean and painless. It removes the entire tick as opposed to other methods we've used which creates risk of infection. Our nursing staff is thrilled with this new product and keeps our infirmary well stocked. It's great for pets as well. It use to be difficult to hold down my dogs while we remove a tick but now I can remove them without the dogs even realizing I'm doing it. Between my kids and 2 dogs they are always playing outside so I keep one in my bag at all times, just in case. I used it at a recent soccer game and everyone was amazed at how easy it was to use. This product is incredible; it's about time someone came up with this idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May 1, 2009

Rated 5 out of 5 Dr. Joe's Tick It Away is an amazing tool, get one!! I give this product a 5 because it's an amazing tool to have. Introduced to it by a pack of boy scouts who are always camping in the woods, and who couldn't stop talking about the ease with which this tool was able to remove tics. Entire tic comes out instantaneously...no head left in to worry about. Great on animals also. Rated 5 out of 5 won't use my tweezers again! This product is easy to use and highly effective. My dog is outside all the time and often comes in the house with a tick or two. Getting them out is usually a pretty gross process but not with the tick it away. Tick is out and intact, and my dog's skin stays irritant-free. Will be stocking up on these! April 30, 2009
