How Does Zodiac Flea and Tick Spray for Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Kittens Work?
Zodiac Flea and Tick Spray quickly kills and repels fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks, lice, gnats, flies, and mosquitoes. In addition to Pyrethrins, natural organic compounds that kills insects by attacking their nervous system, Zodiac Flea and Tick Spray also contains (S)-methoprene. (S)-methoprene is an ingredient that kills flea eggs and larvae to keep all stages of fleas from developing. Piperonyl Butoxide and N-Octyl Bicycloheptene Dicarboximide increase the potency and effectiveness of Pyrethrins and (S)-methoprene.

In killing ticks, Zodiac Flea and Tick Spray protects against Lyme Disease And Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

Side Effects and Warnings

Shake well before use. Apply at the rate of 1 or 2 squeezes of the trigger sprayer per pound of body weight. Do not let it enter the pet’s eyes or ears. Cover animal’s eyes ears and chest. Apply around mouth, nose ,and eyes with a cloth. Then spray on the neck, middle and hind quarters, finishing with tail and legs last. Repeat every 2 months for continuous home flea infestation prevention. Reapply weekly if pet becomes re-infested with adult fleas from outside sources. Puppies and kittens over 12 weeks of age but under 3 pounds should be treated for 5 to 10 minutes by wrapping the animal in a towel that has been lightly sprayed. Do not allow animals to become chilled.
