How Does Baytril Otic. Work?
Baytril Otic. Drop contains the antimicrobials Enrofloxacin and silver sulfadiazine that kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and protozoans. Enrofloxacin combats bacteria while silver sulfadiazine fights fungal infections.
Side Effects and Warnings
Your pet may experience a localized allergic reaction. Contact your veterinarian if it does not go away. If your pet exhibits any of the following serious side effects, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian: hearing loss, increased reddening of the ear, or vestibular (balance) disorders.

This medication should only be used after your veterinarian has inspected your dog’s ears and found that the eardrum is not perforated.

Do not use this medication in animals that are allergic to it.

Use with caution in animals with CNS disorders.

Use with caution in pregnant, breeding, lactating, or young growing animals.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Contact your veterinarian if your pet’s symptoms persist. Tell your veterinarian about any other medications that your pet is taking.
